Soft Roll-Up Tonneau Cover Recommendation for a 2016 Ram 2500 Short Bed with RamBox

Question:

I have a 2016 ram 2500 power wagon with the ram box. the inside measurement of my bed is 6 foot 4 inches. the outside measurement from the top of the bulkhead behind the cab to the tailgate is 6 and 1/2 feet. So do I order the 6 and 1/2 foot cover, or do I look specifically for a 6 foot 4 inch cover? i also saw a video of one of your covers being mounted to the oem tie down rails already installed on my truck I would like that model number of any soft roll ups that mount like that and fit my truck. Hey Frank, thanks for reaching out!

Any of the covers that are listed to fit a 2016 Ram 2500 6-1/2' bed with RamBox will work for your application. Truck bed sizes are a little weird because sometimes the listing is very specific and other times it's kind of a generalization (like this instance).

I recommend picking up the TruXedo Lo Pro # TX547901 because of the easy latch system that is used to release the cover when you need to fold it up.

I'm not seeing that any of the soft roll up covers that fit your truck install using the tie-down rails - they all use clamps to install on the bed sides. If you can send me the video of the cover you saw I'd be more than happy to look into it!

Thanks for getting back to me Jon. the video I saw was the TX584901 and it wouldn't fit my truck because its made for the 5 1/2 foot bed. but if you look in the video it mounts in what they are calling the T track. Do you have anything that mounts like that for the 6 1/2 foot Rambox bed?

@FrankW It looks like the covers are only available with the clamps for installation. Do you have those silver rails, or are you looking for those as well?

@JonG I have the rails. I just like how that cover attaches because the normal clamps don't look like they would work because my rails would be In the way. I guess a little more research is I. Order. Thank you for your time and looking into this for me.

@Frank No worries, just wanted to check and make sure I got a clear picture. I reached out to TruXedo to consult with the and my contact said that as long as you order a tonneau cover that fits the RamBox setup then you'll get the hardware to mount it to those rails so you'll be good to go with the part # TX547901 that I referenced above! Our photos must be outdated, so I'll send in an update for that.
