Looking For Replacement Straps For Yakima StickUp Bike Rack

Question:

I broke a ratchet strap on my Yakima StickUp bike rack. Its 1inch x 12inch long. This strap LOOKS like it should work, but I havent been able to find confirmation of that, either on your website or Yakimas. Can you help?

Hello Dan, thanks for reaching out. Yakima StickUp, now there is a name I haven't heard in a while. Our records show that rack was discontinued over a decade ago, so I am sorry to say we do not have any information confirming the # Y8880229 strap to work with the StickUp. That said, it does appear our strap attaches exactly the same way as the strap in your picture, so it should work. I can also tell you the strap is 1" wide and 12-1/4" long, so as long as this matches your strap, you can be pretty sure it will work for you. Only one way to find out though, and since the rack is discontinued, I think its definitely worth a shot.

Hey Dan, did the replacement wheel strap end up fitting your Yakima StickUp rack the way you hoped? Knowing how it worked out could really help others trying to keep their older racks going too.
