Trailer Wiring Harness 4-Way Recommendation for 1968 Ford F-100
Updated 09/02/2025 | Published 06/16/2025 >
Question:
Hello, I am wiring a 4 pin flat trailer plug on to my 1968 F100 truck. I wanted to use some type of isolation relay kit to reduce the load on a 57 year old wiring harness. Can you recommend an appropriate kit?

Hey Bruce, what you are looking for is the part # C59236 which you will wire to the taillight circuits of your truck but also to the positive battery post so that the taillights of your trailer will draw from the battery to power the lights and will only use the taillight circuits as signal wires. What will you be towing?
