Question:

I have a Domestic 13500 rv air conditioner that has failed. The model Is B57915.711C0 . What unit should I install as a replacement? Thank you

Hey Brian,

We have found that RV AC units do not mix and match well with other brands, and we currently do not have a Dometic replacement for your unit. What I recommend is going with a new AC system from Advent, # ADV23SR. This is a similar 13,500 btu system with a start capacitor and distribution box.

I recommend going with a new system since we cannot guarantee if certain parts will work with different manufacturer parts. Advent is a great quality unit for your trailer. Does your current system have a wall thermostat or a manual distribution box?

@Brian For that application you will want to go with part # ADV95SR. That has the inside ceiling unit for your ducted install and everything needed for this to work on your trailer.

@NickS Will the thermostat control the air conditioner and furnace ?

I have a wall thermostat and the unit is ducted. So does that unit come with the distribution box ?

@Brian If you want to stick with a wall thermostat I recommend the # ADV95SR. It comes with a wall thermostat as well and the distribution box is included. It is a full kit and going to be similar to what you previously had.

@Thomas If you have that same Dometic AC unit that was mentioned its the same thing with all parts. Since there was a industry wide change you need to get the exact model replacement. We do not carry that model parts so what we would recommend is a new system like Advent, # ADV23SR. Or reaching out to Dometic to see if they can get you the exact replacement for your model.
