What Surge Coupler is on Military M1102 MCC Trailer

Updated 06/30/2025 | Published 03/10/2025

Question:

I have a Military M1102 MCC trailer by Schutt Industries. I dont know if it has the Demco DA91. Looking at your part, it appears to be very similar, How can I determine if your part is compatible with my trailer?

Thanks for the picture Richard, I can tell by your picture you have a Model 6 surge actuator on your trailer which the # T4846500183 is the correct replacement for if you were wanting a channel style inner slide member replacement.

I don't care if it is the ring style or a ball mount. Will the T4846500183 work on my trailer? What other options do you have?

@RichardM Yes, the part # T4846500183 is correct since you have a Model 6. Sorry I didn't mention that earlier. I looked for this and wasn't able to find it but I am glad you found it.

Is there one that would fit the Model 6 but give the drop that DM12808-97 does? I've got the M1102 and need more drop than the T4846500183 gives.

@RayJ For the Model 6 the only option is the # T4846500183 unfortunately. Would a different height pintle hook work?

@JamesonC I’d like to get down to the smaller pintle mount. The big one is a lot to handle.
