Hey Randy, thanks for reaching out!
The Gen-Y Hitch Advantage Gooseneck and 5th Wheel Combo Hitch # GY53AV actually has a sliding mechanism so instead of removing anything you just slide the 5th wheel connection back and it's ready to tow a gooseneck trailer! When you need to tow a 5th wheel trailer just slide the 5th wheel portion forward and you're ready to tow a 5th wheel trailer.

Hey Randy, how did the sliding feature on the Gen-Y Combo Hitch work out for switching between your 5th wheel and gooseneck trailers? Your update could make it easier for the next person setting up the same hitch.
