Recommended Bike Rack W/ Integrated Loading Ramp for a 2019 Leisure Travel Van

Updated 09/18/2024 | Published 09/09/2024

Question:

In the next few months Im planning on buying 2, Townie Go! 7D EQ Step-Thru, e-bikes with fenders. I will need bike rack to fit a 2 hitch on the back of my 2019 Leisure Travel Van. Im 76 and can lift the bikes onto a rack but would rather roll them in place. Would you please reply with model numbers I should consider. Also, I would like to lock the rack to the hitch and not rely on just a cotter pin. Please reply with your thoughts and recommendations.

Hey Ron, for your 2019 Leisure Travel Van hauling two Townie GO! 7D Step Through e-bikes, I recommend going with the Lets Go Aero V-Lectric VFR Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # LGA25VR. This bike rack has an integrated ramp for easy loading, an 80 lbs per bike capacity and is compatible with fenders.

This hitch can also be paired with the Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" Hitches # 63232 which will replace the standard pin and clip.

That’s a good suggestion Bryce. I’ll keep it in mind but it’s a little steep for my budget. What would you recommend with/without a ramp around the $600 range? Do you guys offer 12 months no interest financing? Thanks for your help. Ron

@RonS Yeah I can understand that, Ron. In that case, I'd suggest going with the Swagman Escapee RV Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # S39SR with the ramp # S32YR. This will bring you a bit over the 600 dollar range and will also work great with those bikes. As far as financing goes, I'm not really too sure so I'd call in to our customer service line and ask them about it.
