Recommended Replacement Brakes for Dexter 4,400 lb Axles

Question:

To whom it concerns, I am wishing to replace my brake assembly on my RV axles. Below is what I transcribed over from the axles. Dexter Axles – SN134120279, Keystone plant, GOSHAW, IN PO 24552833, HF= 85.00 SC=68.50, D44, 248744, capacity 4400lb, hub to hub is 33”, shackle width is 1 ¾”, both of equalizer bolt to bolt is 5 ¾”, spring eye bolt to equalizer bolt is 29 ½”. is the link the right one that i need? Keith, it appears so - but to be sure I'd recommend just confirming that your current brakes are 10" x 2 1/4", has a 4 bolt mounting flange, and all of the specs listed on the product page matches. If all that checks out, then yes the Dexter Electric Trailer Brakes # K23-462-463-00 will work great.

So I take it I am not measuring the lug nut bolts? if that's the case then i think you are asking me to remove the wheel and hub? Keith

@KeithC Correct, so you'd need to make sure you have a 4 bolt flange, make sure the measurements for the flange match (listed on product page) and make sure that your braking assemblies are the same size.
