Troubleshooting An E1 Error Code For A Greystone RV Electric Fireplace
Question:
Our Rv is a 2021 keystone hideout with a grey wolf electric fireplace, I just went out to turn the fireplace on so I can get the unit all cleaned out and it’s beeping with a E1 code. Not sure if it’s because of how cold it’s been outside or not. I cannot get the beeping to stop or the E1 code to go away. I have no idea how to unplug the fireplace from the inside of the camper but I did disconnect the main power supply for about 10 minutes or so. Any idea as to what to do

An E1 error for a Greystone electric fireplace means that there's a short in the circuit board and the entire unit will need to be replaced. This unfortunately is a very common issue across all fireplace brands and the manufacturers won't send out replacement circuit boards. If you have a warranty through the dealership you purchased the trailer from I'd try to go through them to get it replaced for free.
To remove the fireplace from the wall/cabinet/etc. you'll need to get to the mounting flange. If you have a full glass front you'll need to lift the entire glass panel up to lift it off the fireplace. If you have a metal and glass front there should be a trim ring around the front of the fireplace that just covers the sides and top and you'll be able to lift it straight up as well. Once remove there should be four screws to take out and then you can pull the fireplace out. If you need help finding a replacement I'll just need you to measure the cutout hole so that I can find a suitable fit.
