Parts Needed To Convert From 30lb Propane Tanks To 100lb Tanks
Question:
I currently have an older 2004 Fleetwood 5th wheel camper that is parked in a permanent location. I’d like to change out the 2-30pound propane tanks to 100 pound tanks. In the process I plan on replacing current auto changeover regulator and hoses. Looking for info on what regulator, hoses and other materials would be needed to complete this changeover. Thank you

100lb propane tanks typically have a female POL fitting so you'll just need to swap over the hoses to ones that have a male POL fitting and can still connect to your regulator/piping the same way the current hoses do. Most regulators have a 1/4 Female Inverted Flare fitting so you'll likely need a hose like the MB Sturgis # 100019-24. To be sure you'll just need check the fitting types on both the tank and the regulator/wherever it ties into the system.
If you aren't having issues with your regulator then you can just keep using the same one instead of replacing it. If you are going to replace it then you can use one like the JR Products # 37207-30395. Personally, I'd just keep it easy and only swap out the hoses connecting the tanks to the system.
