The Yakima MajorShady 270 Awning # Y82AV installs via the T-Slots in a roof rack so we'll need to get you an aftermarket roof rack since your 2024 Subaru Outback Wagon OEM crossbars don't have that T-Slot system.

For something that's cost-effective and gets the job done I recommend the Malone AirFlow2, but if you're wanting something with higher quality and will be a better setup for longevity then I recommend the Yakima JetStream system. Here are the parts you'll need for each:

Malone AirFlow2
- Roof Rack # MAL74AR

Yakima JetStream
- 50" JetStream Crossbars # Y00425
- SkyLine Towers # Y53TR
- Landing Pad 27 # Y46VR
- Lock Core Kit # Y07204 (optional)

I have the Yakima overhaul rack with the HD bars and the Evo fat cats mounted on the top I would like to mount the awning on the underneath side of the HD bars so that I can still access my binders on the top(which I use to carry my fishing roda) is this possible. Thanks

@ThomasM Yes, you will just need to reverse the mounting brackets so they can be installed on the underside channel instead of the top channel. You'll also need to make sure the straps from the FatCat EVO isn't going to be in the same spot as the MajorShady 270 # Y82AV mounting hardware. If it is, you can swap out the strap hardware with the SmarT-Slot Kit # Y03098.

@JonG. Everything I have mounted is currently using the T-slot mounting hardware. I would want to use it for the awning brackets as well. Does it come with the t slot mounting hardware

@ThomasM Yes, the awning comes with mounting hardware for the T-Slots so you should be good to go!
