Troubleshooting A Non-Working TurboVent RV Air Admittance Valve

Question:

I’m on turbo vent number 3 and have only had the camper for 1.5 months. Dealer and manufacturer say faulty vent. Right now I’m not buying that. Is there a better vent? Is this installed incorrectly?

The LaSalle Bristol Utopia TurboVent RV Air Admittance Valve for Gray Water Tanks # 3447425011AAVABS is the only valve that we currently offer for this style so I don't have another to compare it to. The installation based on the picture that you provided is also correct. A few of the reason you may be having an issue with your valve would be as follows:

There's an additional trap further down the drain line.
The slope of the drain line isn't steep enough and is causing a slow drain and more pressure on the line.
There's a clog somewhere down the line that's causing the pressure build up.
The roof vent for your plumbing is clogged.

Having been in more campers than I can count I would say there's likely an issue in the plumbing elsewhere and it's putting too much pressure on the valve. Manufacturers care more about quantity over quality so the slope of your plumbing is a very common issue. You could try having a plumber run a camera snake through the line to look for obstructions as well.
