Can A RV Push Button Switch Be Swapped to a Rocker Switch?

why do newer rvs use a push on/push off button in the control panel for some lighting? can they b converted to rocker switch? Are bad for outside lighting dont know if they are on or off, unless u open door and look

I'm not certain, but If I had to guess it'd probably come down to cost. It's probably more cost effective for the manufacturer to buy push button switches that are pre-wired rather than rocker switches.
With that said, the push button switch like # DG52452VP is just a 12v on/off switch, so you could totally swap it with a rocker switch like the Single Rocker Switch # 37212595.
If you wanted to go a step further I recommend pairing that with the Single RV Switch Faceplate # 37212855 for a nice clean finish.
