Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the single rocker switch. This allows you to flip the on and off switch for your lights. Maybe a small electrical appliance in your vehicle, fan or something like that. It's just a really easy way to replace that switch if it happened to go bad or maybe add one in if you're adding in some kind of accessory lighting such as other things in your RV or really anywhere that you'd want it to go.So let's take a little closer look at our switch. It is labeled on and off to make it easy.
Have two prongs back there to connect our wires into. This is going to be a single pole single switch. So just has one on and off connection to make.It works at 16 amps at 125 volts or 12 amps at 250 volts AC. It can also power a three quarter horsepower at 125 volts up to 250 volts AC or 10 amps at 14 volts DC. So whether this is for AC or DC power, it can still work.As far as the size, overall it's about 3/4 of 1" by about 1 1/4" and the overall depth including the switch.
It's about 1 1/4". The cutout is about 1 1/8" tall if you allow for a little bit of give on those prongs. That's what's going to snap in between the cutout to hold it in place as the tension on those two tabs. So the smallest that it could go is 1" but it would be really tight on those. So about 1 1/4" or an 1 1/8" between there should work just fine.Then width-wise, it's about 1/2".
It's black in color made in the USA and that's about all there is to it for our single rocker switch. Hope this video has been helpful in deciding if this is the right one for you. We do have some other options available here at etrailer.com. So check those out and thanks for watching..
