Can I use vaseline as a lubricant on Tow mirrors to make pulling them out and pushing them back in easier

For extending towing mirrors like the K-Source # KS62073-74G you will need to use a dry lubricant like the Roadmaster # RM-747. Using a wet lubricant like Vaseline will cause dirt to build up inside the mirror and cause more issues.
