Can this box be directly mounted to trailer tongue without supporting the bottom.

Yes, the Commercial Grade Battery Box for Group 4D Batteries # 329-HM408 can be mounted directly to the trailer tongue without fully being supported by a bracket or hanger. This box has four pointing points on the outside corners but you can also shoot self-tapping screws through the bottom to match up with the trailer tongue frame beams.
