Question:

We have a 1968 airstream camper the tire sizes are 7.00-15 we can not go any taller what size is recommended? I was looking at loadstar 205/75/15. Will these tires be right for this camper?

The Loadstar # AM1ST92 will work as a replacement for your 7.00-15 tires. Since it fits rims 5" - 6-1/2" wide you also won't have to worry about compatibility with your current wheels.

It will be about 1" shorter by comparison so clearance on top won't be an issue and should have a similar section width so you won't have to worry about inside clearance either. The only concern might be the capacity. This has a max load of 1,820 lbs at 50 psi so you will need to make sure that is a high enough capacity for the trailer.

You might also want to consider is moving to a radial tire. The Karrier # AM10244 offers the same fit as the Loadstar and the same capacity. It also has the same speed rating of M for 81 mph. Radial tires will last longer and have better highway performance. There is a cost difference but in general it is worth it to upgrade to radial.
