According to my research your 1967 Airstream would need the Atwood Repair Kit AT88061, but unfortunately Atwood has gone out of business so this is no longer available. To get a working coupler again you'll need to have your current coupler cut off and a new one welded on, for which I recommend the 14K etrailer A-Frame Trailer Coupler - Thumb Latch - Black - 2-5/16" Ball # CA-5400-B.
This is a pretty standard coupler and will do a great job as a replacement for your current setup.
