How to Connect Two 100 lb Propane Tanks to Generator
Question:
Hello, I asked a question Here a few months ago about a a way to connect 2 propane tanks to a Generator. The product recommended was this: 07-30395 JR Products Automatic Changeover RV LP Gas Regulator - 345,000 BTU GR-9984XF Item # 37207-30395 Unfortunately, I was just able to connect all of this up this weekend and the regulator is regulating too much even with the adjustment screw open all of the way. I confirmed this by just hooking up a T and passing the propane straight to the generator and it ran fine. Any thoughts on what my options my be? I dont have the package anymore. I would love to have an auto changeover but its going to have to be an extremely high BTU I think because the generator didnt even have an amp pull on it. Any assistance would be appreciated.

It sounds like your generator has a regulator on it since you were able to get it to work when you bypassed the regulator.
With this being the case you'll want to go with the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting w/ Hose # 103615 that I also mentioned on your previous question if the generator has a regulator. Just be sure to use the shut-off lever when you aren't using the 2nd tank.
