Question:
I have a 2022 Sierra HD Denali and a 2023 Jayco Jay Flight 264BH and the salesman said that the camera system is pre-wired in the Jayco for cameras being placed on the left and right-hand side of the trailer at the side lights pop off cover and install camera closest to the vehicle and on the very back of the RV. Ive read most of the support questions here but didnt find my combo exactly so Im not sure if the camera feature on the GMC where there are something like up 15 cameras can be viewd and the compatibility of the Furrion cameras being able to be viewed on the trucks touch screen. I saw where perhaps a power adapter FR87PR might be used to increase the power to the cameras but want to ensure that the cameras will work on my vehicle without having to mess with wiring and installing screens. The reason for this question is that all I need are the cameras FCE48TASL and not the monitors, etc. It also talks about having the Furrion Vision Systems, so I assume I can just get the cameras without the systeminch touchscreen. Lastly I did not see a camera for the back end of the RV. We already have a camera housing w/wiring and just need a camera to install.

Furrion camera systems will not interface with any other monitors, like the one in your 2022 GMC Sierra so you would have to purchase the camera(s) and monitor in order to use the system. The prewiring and mount on the rear of your trailer is will be helpful for installation but you'd still have to buy a complete system like # FCE48TASL-05 in order to get the rear and side cameras, as well as the monitor.
Since you have prewiring and the mount on the rear you'll be able to just unscrew the four screws on the front of the mount and swap in the camera from the mount in the # FCE48TASL-05. If you have the prewiring for the side marker lights then you should have the Furrion logo on them and essentially a blank cover where the cameras will connect to the light. You can pop the lens to light and unscrew the two screws holding the blank cover to the light and repeat the process with the side marker cameras in the kit and swap them over to the trailer.
I've attached a short video below where I'll walk you through this process.
Lastly, since you have a newer GM vehicle you'll have PWM wiring, which means that you will either need to use the plug-in adapter # FR87PR or the splice in PWM filter # VGR64VR in order for the cameras to get enough power to properly function. The # FR87PR is easier to do, but will typically give the advance trailering system in your truck an error since it throws off how the truck senses the trailer behind it. I personally would go with the # VGR64FR and just remove the blank rear camera mount completely to get to the wiring, splice in the filter, and then mount the new camera/mount.
If you have any other questions please send them in and I'd be happy to assist.
