Question:
I have a furrion S backup camera and had to hard wire in our new 2023 Outback. Camera is paired and comes on however it’s on and off and states no single. Blue lite is on the camera. Do I need a booster? The camper is approximately 38 long travel trailer Since the camera has a blue light I assume it’s getting power or do I need to pull the wiring back out and re wire. I hope it’s not that cause pulling out all the wire out is a pain to get in and out.

Furrion Vision S RV Camera Systems like the # FOS43TASF have a 492' range so the length of your trailer isn't to blame here. Most likely the unit is getting enough power to turn on and sometimes pair and then loses the signal as the voltage drops. The solution to this is to pull the camera back off of the trailer and splice in the PWM Wiring Adapter # VGR64VR behind it so that it gets a steady 12 volts in order to properly operate.
I've attached a video below where I'll walk you through installing this adapter. Getting the adapter back in the hole can be a bit challenging depending on its size, so if needed you can enlarge the hole a bit since it's going to be covered by the camera gasket. If you want to go the extra mile you can also cover the hole a bit once you're done with some gasket maker to ensure a waterproof seal.

Hi Kevin, I’m not sure the filter is my error. When the camper is not moving, the signal is fine and clear. Once I get over about 40mph is when my drops out. Any thoughts? Thanks, Aaron
