What Gauge Wire Is Needed for 100 Amp Go Power RV Converter and Smart Battery Charger

Question:

I have a stock 12 Thor freedom elite 30 amp service. I need to replace the converter and am thinking of upgrading from 2 lead acid to 2 AGM batteries. From what Ive read this size converter will allow for adding another battery later. What my question is if I replace the stock converter in the stock location with this unit higher amps do I need to change the gauge wire running to the batteries?

Expert Reply:

The Go Power RV Converter and Smart Battery Charger # 34266912 requires 2-4 gauge wiring for the installation so as long as your current wiring is this heavy duty you won't need to swap out anything.

Attached is a photo from the installation instructions as well as a review video for you to check out!
