Recommended Lift Kit for a Grand Design Reflection 150 Model 270BN

Updated 07/31/2025 | Published 01/25/2023

Question:

I have a 2022 GMC Sierra 2500 4WD and a brand new Grand Design Reflection 150 Model 270BN fifth wheel with a BandW Companion hitch. I’ve only towed the fifth wheel one time from the dealer to the storage facility but the trailer sits high in the front at least 2” maybe more. I have less than 6” clearance between the top of the truck bed and the fifth wheel so I can’t adjust the hitch down to compensate. I have no idea what suspension the fifth wheel trailer has but I see that some people are lifting their suspension’s for leveling purposes. I do know that the axles sit under the springs so the trailer can’t be lifted by the “flip” method. What type of leveling or lifting kit do you recommend? I am concerned that if I install some type of lift that it will void my factory warranty?

Since your axles are already below your leaf springs the only option is the Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit item # RR23QX. This kit mounts to your spring hangers and moves the attachment point down 1-1/4" or 2-1/4".

This method of lifting your trailer will not void the Lippert frame warranty because this kit bolts to your existing hangers and just lowers the connection points to the leaf springs.

The only problem with this lift kit is. They state "This does not work with MORryde CRE3000 equalizers" which my 270BN factory trailer has.

@MarkC I would be more than happy to find a compatible replacement equalizer if you're interested in lifting your trailer. I would just need to know the distance from the left to right mounting bolt and the top bolt down to the center line of the left and right bolt. The Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit item # RR23QX is the only option I have to lift your trailer if your axles are mounted below your springs.

@JerredH The horizontal dimension is 8" and the vertical dimension is approx. 3-3/8" Why is it this doesn't work with this equalizer? Will another equalizer be as good as the one I have on?

@CrewD Thanks for the information! The angled brackets on the silver part of the CRE3000 like your item # MR27ZR prevent the square bracket of item # RR23QX from being able to sit flush with the equalizer. The Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers item # LC145546 is going to be the closest comparable option but size and function wise. You'll actually gain a bit of height switching to this one as it's a 1/4" taller than your CRE3000. You'll also need to replace your wet bolts when you add the lift kit and new equalizer. The bolts are only meant to be torqued down once. If you could get me the measurement between bolt holes on one of your shackles I can recommend you the correct kit.
