How to Find Best Height Setting for Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Recessed Ball Hitch

Question:
How do you determine which of the 3 holes you need to set the hitch at? Is there a measurement that you take that would instruct you as to which hole it gets set at? I have mine set in the middle hole,,, 2017 Chevy dually, Bradford built flat bed with recessed ball!

Thanks for your purchase of the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter for Recessed Ball # DM8550046!
To determine the correct height setting for this hitch (11-1/2", 12-3/4", or 14") you need to measure from the ground to the floor of your truck bed and then again from the ground to the bottom of the pin box on your trailer. Find the difference between the two numbers (see attached photo) and then set your Recon hitch to the height that best makes up the difference and you're all set!
