Question:

I have the Thule THTP54 already installed on my truck bed topper. I just received Item # Y01-140B-NT to install with my Thule Tracks. In the provided Item # Y01-140B-NT instructions, it describes an opening near the rear of the vehicle wide enough to and slide in the appropriate hex nuts. #THTP54 dont appear to have these openings. Is the only to remove the end caps of the THTP54?

The Rhino-Rack Roof Rack for Thule and Yakima Tracks part # Y01-140B-NT is a confirmed fit and a great option for the Thule Roof Mounted Top Rack System part # THTP54. The first step of the rack is to install the hex nuts into the channels mounted on the roof. There are actually end caps on the ends of the tracks you must remove in order to reveal the channels which I think is the issue here. I have attached a photo of the end caps, there is a screw holding them in place but once that's out they should just pull off.
