Since you've already verified the batteries are good, and that the buttons on your MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat # MA00-05100K are working properly, then you may just have a bad remote.
To replace your remote, you can use the:
-Replacement Handheld Remote for MaxxAir Roof Vent Intake/Exhaust Fans # MA00A01150K.
You'll also want to verify that your remote has clear line of sight to the fan and that nothing is blocking the sensor on the fan.
