I can find a roof rack for your 2017 Honda Pilot. Your 2017 Honda Pilot will only have 165 lbs maximum weight limit on your roof rack. This is a dynamic weight limit, which is the weight when your vehicle is moving. Your rack can support more weight when it is not moving, or static weight. Unfortunately, none of the roof rack companies will test vehicles for their static weight limit. If your roof top tent weighs 170 lbs, you will be assuming the responsibility for transporting a roof top tent that exceeds your roof racks weight limit.
There are two roof rack options, a naked roof rack and flush rails. Do keep in mind, each of these rack options will utilize some type of clamping force to secure it to your vehicle. Most rooftop tents manufacturers do not recommend using their tents with these types of roof racks. If your roof rack has a naked roof, my roof rack recommendations for you will consist of the following:
Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars - Aluminum - Silver - 53" Long - Qty 2, part # TH711400.
Evo Clamp Feet for Thule Crossbars - Naked Roofs - Qty 4, part # TH710501.
Fit Kit for Thule Evo Clamp Roof Rack Feet - 5243, part # TH79RV,
Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders - Qty 4, part # TH450400.
This roof rack has a maximum weight limit of 165 lbs. I also included the Thule One-Key Lock Cylinders so you can lock the roof rack to your vehicle. If your Honda Pilot has flush mounted rails your rack will consist of the following:
Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars - Aluminum - Silver - 60" Long - Qty 2, part # TH711500,
Rapid Podium Feet for Thule Crossbars - Fixed Point - Qty 4, part # TH460R,
Fit Kit for Thule Podium-Style Roof Rack Feet - 3132, part # THKIT3132.
I have included product description links and video review links below.
