Question:
I have a Shurflo 12v 2.8 gpm 40 psi pump now that is running but barely play moon games water. The new mber is 4088-403-144 dated 02-1992. Can you suggest a cross reference since I think this one is not made any more.

The HydroMax RV Fresh Water Pump - 12 Volt # P25201 you were looking at would be a perfect replacement for your old Shurflo. It offers a slightly higher GPM at 3.0, versus your current 2.8, and a higher psi at 55. Its self priming design is capable of 6' vertical prime and 30' horizontal prime.
It has a built-in check valve prevents backflow and a built-in strainer that prevents unwanted debris from entering the pump to ensure a long lifespan. It has a 1/2" Diameter hose fitting at inlet and at outlet. The Durable and flexible feet and internal bypass provide low cycling and reduced vibration for little to no noise.
I've attached a review video below that will offer some additional information and let you see the pump in use.
