Will Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation on 2022 Audi Q7 Require Cutting or Trimming
Question:
I want to install this Curt hitch on my 2022 Audi Q7. Will I have to cut anything if I'm installing it myself? This just bolts on?

In order to install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13277 some trimming of the fascia will be required. This will be a 3.5" x 7.25" area as outlined in the instructions.
This is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver and a concealed cross tube. It features a gloss black powder coat finish and a bolt-on installation. This hitch has a maximum gross trailer weight of 7,000 lbs and tongue weight of 700 lbs.
If you plan on towing, I recommend the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT for your wiring needs. This uses zero contact interface sensors which clamp onto your existing wiring. It will provide you with a 4-way connection to power your trailer's signal lights.
For a ball mount, I like the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball as well as a ball mount bag for storage. I have included some review installation videos, as well as pictures showing what the hitch will look like once installed and the area that will need to be trimmed.
