Question:
From reviewing your info on propane hoses and connections, I believe I currently have a POL connection going to the tank pic attached. Can I replace this with a Type I connection, without worrying about it leaking?

Thank you for the photo! Since your propane tank has the threads on the outside and inside it means that you can use a pigtail with either the POL or Type 1 connection like you're asking about. Swapping over to the Type 1 is a great idea just because it's easier to twist on plus you don't have to mess with any kind of sealant.
If your regulator has the adapter on it then I recommend using the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail - Stainless Overbraid - Type 1 x 1/4" Male Inverted Flare - 15" # 100833-15 that you were looking at, but if your regulator doesn't have that adapter then you'll need to either install it using the adapter part # 402258-MBS or by using a standard pigtail like part # 100473-15-MBS.
