Recommended Replacement For A Carrier Air Air Conditioning System In A 2007 Damon Tuscany
Question:
I have a 2007 Damon Tuscany and the rear air is going bad. I know the current Carrier AC is no longer available so I will have to modify what I have now. I have spoken with my RV repair guy and he told me we could convert to a stand-alone unit which I do not have a problem doing. It appears from what I have read on your site this Furrion package would be capable of replacing this Carrier unit and I wanted to get that confirmed?

The Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System - Manual - 15,000 Btu - White # FR92PR is a standalone system that you could certainly use to completely replace the Carrier Air AC system you have in the rear of your 2007 Damon Tuscany. This AC unit is designed for ducted or ductless systems and lets you add an additional AC to your RV. Dual fans move cool air efficiently. Included Air distribution box features a convenient, built-in thermostat to control the fan and temperature settings and the included start capacitor offers an extra boost to help jump-start the AC when a campsite or generator doesn't provide enough power.
If you just need to replace the rooftop unit and would like to retain use of the air distribution box and any wall mounted thermostats, you currently have then you can use the Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Carrier Setup w/ Start Capacitor - 15,000 Btu - White # ACCAR150. This unit will use the same connections as your Carrier Air rooftop unit for a quick and easy hookup. It also comes with a start capacitor to jumpstart the AC when camp power or generator power isn't enough.
