Tekonsha Prodigy RF Brake Controller NC to C Connection Troubleshooting
Question:
I have a new 2020 East to west Della Terra. It came with the brake controller mentioned above. I am having problems with the connection. It shows NC to C flashes back and fourth, never stays on C for long. I have checked the system thoroughly. Grounds are good, connections are good, getting power where it is supposed to get it. Pared correctly, brake magnets wiring etc. When it is in the NC mode if I hit the Manuel override it will engage the brakes work just fine. Recently I looked at the product on your web page and it says This Item Not a fit for my trailer. Is this true? It fails me when I need it most. Also, what is the warranty for this product?

Our brake controllers are not fit guided for the trailers and instead are for the vehicle side. So if you have your East to West Della Terra info in our fitguide it wouldn't show a fit for it since brake controllers normally install on the vehicle side.
You didn't mention what happens if the brake pedal is pressed in your tow vehicle. Do the brakes work at all when this happens? NC would indicate no connection which in the case of a brake controller means that it can't detect the load of brake magnets on the output circuit of the trailer wiring. Normally this just means there's some dirt on the pins of the connectors which is causing the connection to become intermittent between the 7-ways. So since there are a couple 7-way connections when using the RF I'd recommend checking the pins of all of the connections and fix as needed.
