Recommended Replacement 145/R12 Tires for Pop-Up Camper
Updated 04/17/2021 | Published 04/16/2021 >
Question:
I am looking to replace and possibly upgrade the tires on my pop up camper. The camper weight is 2000 lbs .The tires that are currently on it are Carlisle 145r12 10 ply radials , load rang D. Max speed rating is 65 mph at 80 psi. Should I replace with same type of tires or is there something that might be better? I was looking at this tire with the load range E , it handles more weight than what I have now, will it fit my rims ? Looks like it might be a little bit better tire, what would you recommend? Thank you

The Kenda Karrier # AM10140 145/R12 tire you'd looked at would be the highest rated 12 inch tire we offer.
The tire has a 1520 lb per tire/3040 lb/ axle capacity which would be perfect for your pop-up. The tire is compatible with 12 x 4 inch rims, so if that's what you currently have they'll work great for you.
I've linked to a product description video featuring my buddy Cole who runs through the features of the tire.
