Is Vehicle License Plate Not Visible if Receiver of EcoHitch 306-X7338 is Used on 2017 Chevy Volt

how does the action of the tag work. My concerns is, doesnt that make the tag not visible when it is flipped up? I havent seen any good photos of where the tag is when in use.

Expert Reply:
The license plate bracket included with the # 306-X7338 hitch would flip upward which would indeed make the plate not viewable from the rear. This means that you might need to remove the license plate and mount it to the rear of the hitch mounted accessory so it's visible.
If you'd prefer not to deal with that, you could use a standard hitch like the Curt Class I, part # C11436. When installed, the only portion of the hitch that would be visible is the receiver tube and the safety chain loops, as shown in the linked installation video.
