Recommended Wireless Observation and Backup Camera System for Shasta 26BH
Question:
Im looking for a backup camera with side marker cameras that I can use on my Shasta 26BH travel trailer, but Id also like to be able to have it so that they connect to the onboard wifi and then I can remotely monitor them for security over the internet so that I dont have to install two camera systems. Is this an option in anything that you know of or have available? I do have a Furrion pre-wire on this trailer if theres a conversion for the device too.

You can use the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Observation Camera System w/ Side Marker Light Cameras - 5" Screen # FCE48TASL-05 with the Furrion pre-wiring on your Shasta 26BH and you'll have the side marker camera and rear backup camera. This system won't connect to your on-board Wi-Fi but instead has its own wireless connection to the monitor; the Wi-Fi connection won't really matter as much as the power source for the cameras which can vary depending on how you're wiring it in.
If you wanted to add a 4th camera to the system you can use the # FCN48TASF, which can be placed over the door or on the side of the coach wherever you'd like to provide you with a view of your surroundings. You can wire this camera directly to the battery so that it's always on and will constantly be connected to the monitor; the camera does have a motion sensor so that it turns on anytime the camera senses movement, so the monitor won't be a constant drain on the battery. This will differ from the rear camera, which will be wired to the reverse light circuit with the pre-wiring or the side marker cameras that will tie into the turn signals or running lights (depending on how you choose to wire them).
I've linked a review and installation video of this system for you to check out, but as I mentioned- the WiFi is inconsequential in this setup and the power to the cameras is the most important thing if you want to use this as an observation system.
