Question:

Can you tell me what the Swagman XC-2 Bike Rack Platform Style weighs. I can see what wt it can carry but not what it, itself weighs. Trying to determine if I small woman can install and un-install it by myself.

The Swagman XC 2 Bike Rack, # S64650, weighs right around 25 lbs. It definitely isn't one of the heavier bike racks out there, but if weight is a bit of a concern, I would strongly suggest looking at the Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack, # HLY94FR.

This bike rack weighs only 20 lbs, it is a step up in quality and I really like the mounting clamps versus the frame hooks of the XC bike rack so a frame adapter won't be needed for women's bikes with step-through frames. I can also tell you from experience that the wheel hoops on the Destination are much sturdier than the XC wheel hoops. My wife is very small as well (5ft 1in) and she can handle this bike rack with ease.
