Recommended Roof Rack For Rooftop Tent On 2014 Volvo XC70

Question:

Want to install a Roofnest Condor XL rooftop tent to my 2014 Volvo XC70 wagon. It already has roof rails which I’m assuming are the factory installed roof rails. Want to know which cross bars would be best to support the 160 lb tent plus 20 lbs extra of storage in the tent.

I was able to find that the Roofnest Condor XL rooftop tent requires crossbars that have a weight rating of at least 150lbs.

For your 2014 Volvo XC70 with the factory installed raised rails that run back to front I recommend the Thule Roof Rack System which uses 53" Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711420, and Evo Raised Rail Feet # TH710401 which offer a maximum weight capacity of 165lbs which exceeds the minimum crossbar weight rating Roofnest requires.
