The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24792 is a confirmed fit for a 2002 - 2006 Honda CR-V. The # 24792 is not your best choice.
For your 2008 Honda CR-V I instead recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75547 due to it having a 2x2 receiver that will give you more options for accessories than a 1 1/4 x 1 1/4 receiver, and having a higher tongue weight and trailer weight rating than the other trailer hitch receivers for your vehicle. You will need to check your vehicle's owner's manual to find the maximum tongue weight and maximum trailer weight rating and use the lower number between the trailer hitch receiver and the vehicle.
I included a video of the Draw-Tite # 75547 being installed on a 2009 Honda CR-V for you to take a look at.
If you can tell me what you plan on using your trailer hitch receiver for, I would be happy to recommend some accessories to fit your needs.
