Question:
Hello, I have an AWD 2001 GMC Sierra C3 pickup they started calling them Denali in 2002 w/ a 6.5’ bed and a 6.0 Vortec engine. Can I tow a 5th wheel camper with it and if so, how big/heavy? And if so, would I need to make any upgrades first?

I looked up the towing capacity of your 2001 GMC Sierra and it would be capable of towing a fifth wheel trailer that weighs between 8,100 and 9,300 lbs without requiring upgrades beyond adding a fifth wheel rail kit so that you could install a hitch. I have to recommend you confirm this capacity with your owners manual or a GM dealer.
For a fifth wheel rail kit a custom install kit like the part # C16418-204 would be the way to go as it would minimize install time and frame drilling. For a hitch you'd then need a slider hitch like the Curt A16 part # C16521 so that you have enough clearance to make tight turns.
