Hitch Extender to be Used with Thule Bike Rack to Help Clear Spare of Vehicle

Question:
I have a 1988 Land Rover 90 Defender with a 2 receiver. My Thule 4 Bike rack is very close to my spare tire. Looking for the best hitch extender. Which extender is the strongest, best quality?

The best hitch extender will be the shortest one that still gives you the clearance you need. Since it sounds like you only need a little more clearance our shortest option which is the Brophy part # HE06 which is an extension that is 7 inches long. You should note that hitch extenders cut the capacity of the hitch they are installed in by 50 percent though.
