Higher Amperage 12 Volt Power Connector to Use at Rear of 2020 GMC Sierra 1500
Question:
The description says 20 amp, but the photo of the cap says 10 amp? I recently purchased a 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab, SLE, short bed, and I want to put a 12 volt socket in bed of truck where there is already a cut out with a blank plastic cover that has a 2inch x 2inch hole cut out.. I plan on modifying cover to install outlet. Instead of grabbing power from 7 round trailer outlet, I plan on running line back from battery. I would like to install the most highest rated 25 or 30? What is your recommendation that I need and can go with with wire sizes, etc? Thanks

For a higher amperage connector setup you'd want the single pole part # PK11851 with the matching male side part # PK11852. This has a 300 amp rating so you'd be perfectly fine to run basically anything you'd want from it. The connector you mentioned is limited to only 10 amps.
I'd go with 8 gauge or thicker for maximum amperage as well.
