Horse Trailer Ramp Spring For Helping Lift Heavy Ramp
Published 04/07/2020 >
Question:
Hi, I just got my brand new 2020 Titan Horse Trailer. I paid good money to have a ramp installed but I can barely lift it up. I had a Bison trailer with ramp and it was awesome and I had no problem lifting. I asked how heavy the ramp was before I had ordered it and they told me not to worry as it was spring loaded. Im not sure if the springs or working or not, it feels like I have the entire weight of the ramp. Only about 4 to 6 inches from the top of the trailer does it feel like you have any assistance. It there something else that would help with this issue if I cannot get the springs working Im assuming they are not working correctly. If they are working, then I wont be able to use the ramp. Thanks so much.

What's the diameter of the shaft where your current springs are installed? If they are 1-1/2 inches you could install the part # RS16933LH and # RS16933RH instead of what you have now and you'd have a much more powerful spring. But if the shaft is smaller than that we won't have anything we can recommend.
