Question:

I have a 2008 Itasca Navion motorhome. Will these lights replace the 921 overhead lights or do i need the pancake style? How do these led’s compare with the Incandescent 921’s light output in this style overhead light?

The 906/921 LED Bulbs # DI38VR will work great for the overhead lights in your 2008 Itasca Navion motorhome. There's no need to replace the entire light unless you wanted to. Replacing the bulb is much easier and more cost effective. LEDs use less power, are brighter than regular incandescent bulbs and last much longer.

As far as the light output compared to the incandescent bulbs, the LEDs are going to brighter, and have a color temperature of 5,500 K. So they will be more white with a very slight blue tint.

Warm white bulbs are available with # DI98VR. These are the same bulbs as the ones your referenced, but the have a color temperature of 3,500 K, which has more of a yellow tint and is easier on the eyes.

Typically higher number temperature outputs are better for task lighting or where there is some ambient light already, like a kitchen. Cooler or lower number outputs are better for general lighting like in a living room.

Both sets of bulbs are compatible with dimmers, and have a non-polarized design so you won't have to worry if the bulb is facing the correct direction.
