How to Secure Lippert SolidStep to RV

Question:

Just purchased a set from you this week. Open box. No screws or instructions. No worries great deal. ? Is I have a 28jayco dsbh. I’m pretty sure these floor are fiberglass. What’s the appropriate way to secure. Screws or nut and bolts. Thx

I have added a link to the installation instructions of the Lippert SolidStep Manual Fold-Down Steps like # LC791572 for you to check out.

Since you have fiberglass flooring, you'll want to use bolts, as seen in the "B." section of the cut out I added.

Looking for advice on which Lippert solid step to buy for my 2010 Laredo 5th wheel. Door width is 29 7/16 w X 35 1/2 high at dead level. Looks like its in an overlap between the 3 and 4 step models. 2 additional questions involved in the choice: how to tell which models are the Gen 3, which has the built in lift assist? What if the ground at the back of the camper is higher than the front when the coach is leveled? kinda common in many of the state and nat parks - the back of the campsites are often slanted up. Will the stairs still work if the threshold distance is less than 35 when the camper is levelled?

Based on the specs you provided, the SolidStep 4-Step Assembly # LC791574 would work really well. I like going with as many steps as possible to because it just allows for an easier entry/exist. The Lift Assist isn't included but can be added. The bottom legs that come out to make contact with the ground are adjustable, so you won't have any issues when parked on unlevel ground.
