Finding 10 Pin Connector on 2018 Lexus RX 450h L to Install Trailer Wiring

Question:

I have a 2018 Lexus Rx 450HL and I cant locate the 10 pin plug. Do you have photos or a more detailed diagram of its location please? BTW your tow hitch 13394 is a confirmed fit to my car. Thanks

Finding the 10-pin connector to install the Tekonsha trailer wiring harness part # 118525 that you mentioned on a 2018 Lexus RX 450h L is sometimes a bit challenging but we've had some customers come back and give us tips on where to find it.

One customer said:

"It is tucked up under the rear deck plate under the passenger taillight side. I used a mirror and flashlight to find it but realized that one I knew where it was I could feel it and pull it down just enough to plug the converter box into."

I also attached a picture of the install instructions that point out where the connector is too.

That description was part of a submitted customer review on the Tekonsha Harness # 118255 for your Lexus 450h. If you take a look at the product page (linked below) and click on the "Reviews" tab there are a few more that try to explain the plug location and some include pictures. This should hopefully help but if not let me know and we will go from there!

@PaulS on my 2018 RX 350L I found 10-pin connector on the DRIVER side of the quarter panel. With blank male connector attached. In trunk area(Driver Side). 1- Remove small cover piece. 2- Remove stored cargo cover. 3- Pull up/out plastic spacer from quarter panel. I'm sure that while hitch is different for L models, wiring is not. Sadly I can't attach my pictures in reply. Tested and found LEFT TURN, RIGHT TURN, BRAKES, TAIL also GROUND and constant BATTERY + but they are using very small wires with small amperage so Tekonsha 118225 will take care of that. The only thing I wasn't able to find is a 4-pin grey connector to attach a trailer harness. I'm thinking to splice trailer harnes into Tekonsha 118255.
