How to Determine if Superchips Programmer is Programmed to a Vehicle or Not
Question:
I was recently give a flashpaq tuner from a f150 buddy. I have a 2006 4.6 f150, I would I find out if the tuner is unmarried from his truck and will it at all effect my truck or cause problems if I plug it in? I’m just scared because I’ve heard horror stories of it messing up stock settings inside the computer of the truck

You won't be able to determine if the Flashpaq like part # SU1845 is unlocked till you plug it into a vehicle so that it powers up and tells you. It also won't change anything on your vehicle unless you go in and tell it to install a tune so you don't have anything to worry about on that end either. In general we don't ever see any issues with the programmers like this.
If it's still locked to his vehicle he will have to return his vehicle back to stock before it would allow you to tune a different vehicle.
