Best Tuner/Programmer for Increased MPG's With a 2013 Ford F-150 EcoBoost
Updated 09/03/2019 | Published 09/01/2019 >
Question:
I have a 2013 f-150 3.5 eco boost. I drive lots of miles and would like to increase my mpg. What programmer would be the best option and what could I expect to gain? I currently drive lots of western states that have 80 mph speed limit. Currently on the free way driving 80-85 I get about 16 mpg.

It can be very hard to accurately estimate the fuel mileage increases while using a tuner as there are just too many variables involved, many of which are dependent on driving habits. That said, the best option we can offer your 2013 Ford F-150 EcoBoost is the Edge Gas Evolution CS2 Performance Tuner part # EP85350. I really like this device because it serves two functions, tuner and gauge display. The gauge display is nice as it can be used to display parameters such as transmission temps, boost levels etc. The device can also be used to read and clear DTC's.
If you are looking for a hard number then I would say around 2 MPG's conservatively but again this is largely dependent on driving habits. It may not seem like much but it can really add up over time.
