How Large of Propane Tank Will Work With etrailer 4,500-Watt Portable Generator - Propane or Gas

Question:

I have a propane pig at my cabin. I would like to hook this unit up to it. I have an available copper line with a shutoff valve that I can connect to. The distance of the available line is about 20 feet away from where I would place the generator. Can you tell me what materials I will need to connect the unit? I have seen some flexible hose in up to 36 foot lengths. I was thinking of using something like that and putting it inside some 1 inch black poly pipe to protect it. My inside supply line is currently 1/2 inch but I can adjust it down to 3/8. How would I attach a quick connect to copper?

Though I'm not all that familiar with the phrase "propane pig" my understanding is that it is a larger residential propane tank so you would not be able to use the etrailer 4,500-Watt Portable Generator - 3,600 Running Watts - Propane or Gas # 333-0005 with something like that.

As you can see from the cut out of the linked instructions, this generator is only compatible with 20 or 30 lb capacity propane cylinders and a residential tank is going to be quite a bit larger.
