Replacing Wire Cable on Superwinch LT3000 Electric Winch
Question:
How do I release on old cable ?
asked by: Rhondi
Expert Reply:
On your Superwinch LT3000 model winch there is a small set screw that's keeping the wire cable in place on the drum. This screw needs to be removed in order to release the existing cable so that a new one can be installed in its place. When installing the new one simply run the wire cable through a hole in the drum (coming from underneath the drum) and secure it with the mentioned screw.
I have attached an image from the owner's manual to clarify.
I have attached a link that will take you to our available selection of replacement wire ropes that you can look through as well.
