Question:

I am looking to see if a single split reel hand winch like Item # DL10952 would work for my application, or if there is an alternate solution you could recommend. I have a 1.5 inch vertical pole that I want to raise and lower about 300 lbs a distance of 10-12 feet sliding along the length of the pole from where the winch would mount to the top of the pole. I attached a couple of pics to help show what I am attempting to do and the parts I am using

For what you are looking to do a split reel winch like the part # DL10965 would be your best option with two of the 1/4 inch metal ropes part # DL24104. This has more than enough capacity and cable length as well.
